How do I create an iTunes account without a credit card?

I want to create an iTunes account and only pay with the gift cards, and I don't have a credit card. When i try to register it won't let me proceed until there's credit card info. I've looked online but the only fix seems to be selecting 'none' for the credit card type, but there is no 'none' option for me when i try to sign up. I am using iTunes 9 on windows 7.|||If you already have an account, choose Store %26gt; Sign Out.


# Pick your country from the pop-up menu at the bottom of the iTunes Store homepage.


# If your country also has an iTunes Store, you'll need to navigate to the App Store by clicking on the App Store link from the menu on the left. If not, proceed to step 4.





# Important: Before proceeding to the next step, you must purchase a free application by clicking 'Get App'.





# Click create new account.





# Click Continue.


# You'll need to read and agree to the iTunes terms and conditions, make sure you check the box next to where it says "I have read and agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions." Click Continue.


# Enter your email address, create your password, continue to create and answer your security question, then enter your birthday. Click Continue.


# Select None as the payment option.


# Continue to fill out the required name and address fields.


# You'll then see a screen that says 'Verify your Account'. Click Done and then check your email for a verification email from iTunes Store.


# Open the email and click on the link enclosed in the email to activate your account.





# Once you click on the link, iTunes should then prompt you to sign in with your account name and password.


# You'll then see the below "Congratulations" screen. Click Done to be taken to the App Store home page.|||when creating an itunes account where it tells you to put the credit card # in there is a button the says none(it is next to paypal) just click none and you are good then if later you want to add on on you press account and manage then add credit card|||If you have a gift card already, just go to the redeem part of itunes. You can sign up from there and never need a credit card. I just use gift cards anyway. It's cheaper(no interest)|||If you have an iphone or Ipod touch. do it from the itunes store from there.
