Why did Bank of America send me a new credit card with different # with same expiration date?

I had no problem with my credit card.


I didn't report anything to them.


But I just received a new credit card with different number but same expiration date of 2012.


Why they do this?|||Usually in such a case, there is a letter enclosed with the new card stating why?





They may have believed that your card had been compromised. Only way to really know, is to call them.|||you current card may have been compromised
