How soon will Citi Card increase my credit card spending limit?

I have had the Visa Dividend card from Citi for a few months now. Basically, it's a student credit card. I have paid all of my bill on time. I was just wondering how soon they will increase the spending limit on that thing. One year? Two years?|||Often, as long as you have paid your bills on time, they will increase the limit as soon as you ask them. You need to call and ask them to increase the limit. Be careful though because all the credit card companies are raising the APR now. They are raising the APR's even if your credit is perfect. It is their new policy. Don't go into debt if you can help it. It is a horrible feeling.|||Most likely they won't, you can ask but unless you actually need it (and really there's no reason why you should) don't bother. They'll raise it when ever they're ready to and asking before hand probably won't do too much good. I had one through BofA and they raised my limit (doubled it actually) after about a year of perfect payments.|||After 6 months they will consider it. You can then request a limit increase online and your limit will probably be instantly increased by a certain amount. If it is done instantly, then it will count as a soft pull on your credit report instead of a hard one like most banks.|||After 6 months they will give you a credit limit if:

You are paying your bill in full each month OR

Your monthly balance never exceeds 30% of your available credit.

Also, make sure you have not been late for 6 months.

I have to ask for my credit limits.

They sometimes ask why - say you plan on taking a trip and would like to use your card for the purchaes .

Do not let them think you will be carrying a balance.
