What would you do if your wife maxed out her credit card and asked for more spending money?

What would you do if your wife was given a credit card a $10,000 existing balance that was created over the past few decades, then maxed it out at $14,000 in just 2 years? Would you let her call the credit card company to have her credit limit raised? Would you give her MORE money if she was already spending $1.63 for every $1.00 you gave her? So why then are liberals supporting Obama for wanting to do the exact same thing?|||Apparently you just go to the credit card company, ask them to raise your limit so you can use the card still to pay off the minimum payments...and then you ask your wife to please try not spending anymore money. Oh wait, that's fantasy land...

Real world...soon as you got the card with 10k balance, you pay it off. You cut any spending you have to reduce that balance (no minimum payments). Then you work within your means as a budget, and don't use credit cards unless you can pay the amount at the end of month (so as not pay interest).|||I didn't know liberals were supporting Obama. I'm liberal and I'm not supporting Obama. Perhaps you are trying to spur hate between republicans and liberals when they both want the best for America?|||Actually, with a good payment history the card company would raise it automatically.

But of course, personal family finances are not government finances.|||I would call her an idiot for comparing personal finances to a national economy. They are not the same, and she would be oversimplifying the problem.|||Depends on what will happen if her limit isn't raised. If she can't afford to get her transmission fixed, and can't get to work, then not raising her limit is pretty stupid.|||I'd ask her why she took a pay cut, gave away her savings, then funded two wars on her own.|||The obvious answer is to stop sex.|||you would give it to her of sleep on the couch for a long time
